Privacy Policy — Dualix: Dual Camera Recorder

Dualix: Dual Camera Recorder ("the App") is a camera app that records photos and videos with the front and rear cameras of your iPhone at the same time. This policy explains what data the App handles. The short version: your photos and videos stay on your device, and we run no servers.
Dualix has no account system, no backend, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK. Everything you capture is processed and stored on your device only. We never see, receive, upload, or store your photos, videos, or audio.
1. Camera, microphone, and photos
- Camera: used only to show the live preview and capture the photos and videos you explicitly take. Frames are processed on-device and are never transmitted anywhere.
- Microphone: used only to record audio into the videos you capture, and only while you record. You can mute the microphone at any time; denying microphone access still lets you record silent video.
- Photos: the App requests add-only access, which lets it save your captures to the Photos library without reading your existing photos.
2. What stays on your device
- All captured photos and videos, including composite, separate front/rear, and portrait/landscape export files.
- Your camera preferences (layout, quality, PiP position and similar settings).
- The start date of your 3-day free trial, stored in the device keychain so the trial survives reinstalls.
- Temporary recording files, which are deleted after your media is saved.
3. What we do not collect
- No photos, videos, or audio ever leave your device through the App.
- No location data — the App never requests location permission and does not embed location metadata in captures.
- No contacts, no tracking identifiers, no behavioural profiles, no analytics events.
- We do not sell any data, because we do not have any.
4. Purchases
Dualix offers a single one-time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat solely to manage the purchase entitlement; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and transaction state — never your media or personal details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how they handle this data. The 3-day free trial is managed entirely inside the App, requires no payment method, and sends nothing anywhere.
5. Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children — it has no data collection to begin with. Captured media remains under your control on your device.
6. Your choices and deletion
- Delete any capture at any time from the Photos app.
- Revoke camera, microphone, or Photos permission at any time in iOS Settings.
- Deleting the App removes its settings and temporary files from your device. Media you saved to Photos stays in your library until you delete it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
