Privacy Policy — Her Daily Affirmations

Her is a daily affirmations app. It needs no email, no password and no social login. The little we store exists only to keep your preferences in sync and to understand how the app is used in aggregate. We never sell your data and we show no ads.
What we collect
- Anonymous account. On first launch the app creates an anonymous Firebase user ID so your preferences can be restored. It is a random identifier and is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID.
- Onboarding preferences. The first name you type, the optional answers you choose during onboarding (age range, relationship status, faith, how you heard about us), the affirmation topics you follow, your chosen theme and appearance, your reminder times and an optional creator code. These are stored on your device and mirrored to our Firebase (Google Cloud) database under your anonymous ID.
- Usage analytics. Firebase Analytics records app events (for example opening the feed, saving an affirmation, viewing the paywall) together with device type, OS version, language and approximate country. This data is aggregated and used only to improve the app.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user ID and the App Store receipt to validate your access. We never see your payment details.
What stays on your device
Your saved and liked affirmations, your own written affirmations, your manifestation entries, streak data, widget and reminder settings, and any photo you choose as a background are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Permissions
- Notifications — used only to deliver the daily affirmation reminders you schedule. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.
- Photo library — used only when you choose to pick a photo as a background or to save a shared affirmation image to your library. Photos are never uploaded.
Third-party services
- Firebase (Google) — anonymous authentication, Firestore database, Analytics and App Check.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple — App Store purchases and notifications.
No tracking, no ads
Her contains no advertising and performs no cross-app tracking. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data retention and deletion
Preferences mirrored to Firebase are kept for as long as your anonymous account exists. Deleting the app removes the local copy. To have the cloud copy deleted, email us from the app (Settings → Contact us) or at the address below and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children
Her is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data. Contact us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted on this page with a new date.
