Terms of Use — Mrs. Gadget: Face Search AI

1. What this service is

Mrs. Gadget: Face Search AI ("the App") is a face-focused, public-web visual search utility for adults. You submit a photo, the App detects and crops the selected face on your device, and our backend runs a visual search through third-party providers (currently SerpApi's Google Lens API). The App returns links to publicly available web pages where visually similar images appear.

The App is not a biometric identity-verification service, not a background-check product, and not a people-search directory. Results are visual-search rankings of public pages, never a confirmation of anyone's identity.

2. Eligibility — 18+

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. If the laws where you live set a higher age of majority, that higher age applies. The App is not directed at minors, and you must not upload photos of anyone under 18.

3. Permission and acceptable use

You may only search a face you are entitled to search: your own, or that of an adult who has given you explicit permission, or for whom you have another lawful right. You agree not to use the App to:

harass, stalk, surveil, blackmail, dox, or intimidate anyone;
upload or search photos of minors, or use the App as a "child finder";
make credit, employment, housing, tenant, insurance, or similar eligibility decisions about a person;
label or judge a person based on the website a result came from;
violate any applicable law, including privacy, data-protection, and publicity laws in your jurisdiction.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these rules.

4. Credits and subscriptions

One completed search that returns results consumes one search credit.
A search that fails, or completes without finding any matches, does not consume a credit — the credit is returned automatically.
Subscription credits reset each billing period and do not roll over. Purchased credit packs do not expire.
A limited number of free preview searches may be offered; unlocking a preview's results consumes one credit.
All payments are processed by Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules.

5. No accuracy guarantee

Results may be incomplete or wrong, and similar-looking people can produce false positives. Result order reflects visual-search ranking, not identity probability. Where a provider supplies a similarity score, it is that provider's estimate for image similarity — it is not proof that two photos show the same person. Always verify context yourself before acting on any result.

6. Third-party services

Searches are fulfilled through independent third parties (currently SerpApi, executing Google Lens visual searches). Neither SerpApi nor Google endorses the App. Category labels shown on results are our own classification and do not imply a partnership with any website.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on search results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
