Terms of Use — OBD2 Scanner Pro

Last updated: August 19, 2026

By using OBD2 Scanner Pro you agree to the terms below. This text is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

What the app is

The app is an informational diagnostic tool. It reads data your vehicle makes available over generic OBD-II and presents it. It is not a mechanic, an inspection authority, a safety system or a vehicle-control system.

No guarantee of diagnosis

Diagnostic trouble codes identify where a fault was detected. They do not confirm which component failed. The app does not guarantee any diagnosis, and readings can be delayed or inaccurate depending on the adapter, vehicle and conditions. Consult a qualified service professional for repairs.

Clearing codes

Clearing diagnostic codes erases stored emissions information and resets readiness monitors. It does not repair the vehicle, and a code will return if the underlying condition persists. Do not use code clearing to obscure a fault before an emissions inspection.

Safe use

Do not interact with the app while driving. Mount your device securely. Performance tests must only be used where they are legal and safe.

Adapter compatibility

The app supports Wi-Fi ELM327-compatible adapters over TCP and BLE/GATT ELM327-compatible adapters. Compatibility depends on the adapter, vehicle, ECU and the OBD-II modes and PIDs that vehicle supports. Compatibility with every adapter on the market is not guaranteed.

Subscriptions

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered on a weekly or yearly basis. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings on your Apple Account.

Standard licence

Use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, available from Apple.
