Revcrew records your drives on your iPhone. Your routes, locations, trip history, notes and photos stay on your device. We don't sell or share personal data, and we never upload your routes.
Revcrew uses your location to record drives you start (manual mode, "While Using" permission) or that it detects (automatic mode, "Always" permission, only if you turn it on). Recorded samples are stored in the app's protected storage on your iPhone and are used to show your trips, maps, statistics, share cards, replay videos and widgets. Motion data (if you allow it) only helps tell driving apart from walking, trains and flights; it isn't stored.
Share cards, videos and exports are created on your device and only go where you send them. Their route start and end are trimmed and privacy zones are hidden.
Clubs are the only feature that uses a server (Google Firebase). If you create or join a club, Revcrew creates a private account identifier for you (anonymous, or linked to Sign in with Apple if you choose — we don't request your name or email). Club members can see:
Your routes, locations and trip details are never uploaded to clubs. During an optional group drive you explicitly join, your live position is shared with that club until you stop sharing, go "ghost", or the session ends; live positions are deleted when you leave and expire automatically on the server within hours.
You can leave clubs anytime, and delete your account and club data in Settings → Account → Delete account. Reports you send about a member are stored so we can review them.
We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google) to understand which features are used and to fix crashes. These collect app-usage events (for example "drive saved" with a distance range such as "5–20 km"), device model, iOS version and an app-instance identifier. They never include locations, routes, place names, trip titles, notes or photos. This data is not linked to your club account and is not used for advertising or tracking. Firebase Remote Config is used to switch features on or off.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. RevenueCat, our purchase-infrastructure provider, processes an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase receipt information to validate access. We never see your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Revcrew contains no advertising and performs no cross-app tracking. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track you.
Don't interact with your phone while driving. Revcrew is designed to record hands-free.
Revcrew is intended for drivers and is not directed at children under 13.
